Walking and hiking:

from the middle of the hamlet start different walking paths, like the botanic tour climbing to the Suc de Ceneuil (volcano chimney). From the top it is possible to contemplate a 360 panorama on the Emblavez and the Loire River. The very interesting viewpoint indicator, sculpted in a lava stone gives a description of the landscape.
Different guides offer various hiking and walking tours passing by famous points of view, ruins and fortresses, mills and castles, gorges of the Loire, picturesque hamlets, lava streams, ancient railway track with 15km for walkers or bikers and much more.

For lovers of historical monuments:

The city of Le Puy-en-Velay is the must of this area: charming mediaeval streets, beautiful houses with coloured facades, but also the cathedral and the Romanesque chapel St. Michel d’Aighuile.
The château Lavoûte Polignac is the first castle along the Loire, the abbey church of La Chaise Dieu, well known for its festival of classic music, the Romanesque prior church of Chamalières, the fortress of Polignac, the mediaeval village of Chalencon are other examples.

Water sports in a few km distance :
Aquafolie in Vorey-sur-Arzon with swimming pool and tobbogans.
Centre Aqua Passion in Lavôute-sur-Loire with a covered swimming pool, sauna, hammam and jacuzzi.

Canopy en Forêt,(Suspended Forest Trails) is an adventure Park in front of the Château de Rochelambert in Saint-Paulien (12 km) open from Mai to October.
